If you have fatty liver, you are most likely overweight. If you are overweight, one of the best ways to reduce fat in the liver is to lose weight: experts confirm that a loss of only 10% of the original weight can help reduce or even reverse fat liver.
However, you shouldn’t opt for a drastic diet to lose weight quickly and therefore return to an unhealthy diet, since this will only report the fat liver. Instead, you will have to completely change your way of eating – and honestly, to live – in the long term.
And this will help you lose healthy weight without hunger. It is a better choice, unlike a rigorous diet that is very difficult to follow and that involves greater chances of giving in for lust and completely giving up.
It overcomes the effort caused by diets is therefore equally important, but until it gets there, you actually have to start the marathon and lose weight without starving.
I’m here to share with you, based on my experience, how to do it easily. You will learn how to change and adapt your lifestyle and diet to become a healthier person and reach a sustainable fat loss, since you have to reach the ideal weight and stay there.
It is a marathon, a long and sometimes important change and not just a diet that follows for a few weeks, before returning to eat hamburgers and drinking juices!
Looking back to my case, when I was diagnosed with a fatty liver disease, I weighed 210 pounds (95.5 kg), too much for my height of 6’0 (1.82 m).
I immediately started making the necessary changes and six months later, I had already dropped to 180 pounds (81.5 kg), which was much closer to my ideal weight.
So, without following a quick diet for weight loss, I managed to lose almost 31 pounds (14 kg) in 6 months. A slow weight loss, constant and lasting – which is exactly what you need, what you need to do and what you should do.
Because now, so many years after the diagnosis (and the management of reversing the fatty liver in this process), are still about 80 kilograms, going down to 77, so they return. This is what you need to do: reduce your weight and keep it like this!
I still say that if I succeeded, everyone can! I like to eat, I love a wide variety of foods, most of which unhealthy and I love desserts, from ice cream to fruit juices and fruit juices.
Fortunately – like you, I suppose, since you read this – you want to make the necessary changes and reverse the fatty liver and give you the opportunity to live a normal life again. It is achievable and it is easier than you think. Also, it is not necessary to hang!
So, here’s what I did to lose weight, reverse the fatty liver and feel much better without hunger:
1. I stopped eating in the city


I prepare my food (with a lot of help from my wife who cooks more than me) from scratch. I choose the ingredients and I assure me to use only healthy foods.
No elaborate. Not too fat, without added sugar, without chemicals, additives or preservatives. Only natural and healthy – biological food if possible. This is what we should eat: real food!
Note: If you really believe that your health is not worth cooking your food and you have to eat in the city, make sure you always choose the healthiest options.
Salads, lean grilled meat and small portions for your search and ask only the healthiest dish on the menu.
Most likely, it will never be as healthy as it could be when you do it at home, but even so, there is a huge difference between a large steak with potatoes and salad.
2. I completely removed the prohibited foods for the fatty liver in my diet


I don’t eat anything fried, I have not reached alcohol since I was diagnosed with a fatty liver, I stopped drinking carbonated juices and fruit juices (even if I can afford a glass or two of the latter, from time to time, ensuring that it is 100%fruit juice).
Avoid sugar was the biggest challenge for me and now I can afford a piece of cake or something sweet once a week or once a few weeks.
But until I received the confirmation that I reversed the fatty liver, I did not reach any desserts, even if it was very, very difficult. You should do the same and avoid any food on my food list to avoid.
3. I followed the Mediterranean diet modified for the fat liver


This diet is a slightly modified approach to the Mediterranean diet – that many experts and nutritionists consider the best to reverse the liver steatosis (fat liver disease). (I study here, here and here, among many others).
This means that I eat many vegetables and fruit (dietary base), the only oil I use is extra virgin olive oil, I eat only lean meat – and not too often and dairy products -caseari with low fat. In essence, this is the briefly summarized diet.
I cook without added oil, because most foods do not need them and use only small quantities of extra virgin olive oil for salad condiments.
If I have to use the oil in the food I cook, I assure myself to add the last and add only a little (in this way it does not remain at high temperatures).
Finally, I significantly reduced the amount of sugar that I consume: I do not eat more added sugars, only healthy sugar alternatives, such as honey (in moderation), Stevia and Eritripitol, while the intake of carbohydrates comes mainly from whole foods and fruit/vegetables.
The diet is probably the most important element when it comes to reverse the fat liver, as well as weight loss in general.
After checking hundreds, perhaps thousands of opinions on the various types of foods that you need to consume – some considered bad, others considered fantastic – when you lived fat, I decided that a balanced and varied diet is the best choice.
You shouldn’t completely remove pork fat from your diet or steak. From time to time you can eat a piece of a few centimeters wide, but eat it with many vegetables and don’t do it too often!
Moderation is the best approach when it comes to eating and staying healthy, and that’s the one I try to get.
With the exception of the foods listed above which are 100% on my list of “bad foods”, everything can be consumed as long as the quantities are moderate and you have a varied diet.
This is the secret and also the most difficult thing to do: moderation. But if you can reach this goal, you will be healthy! You don’t have to become vegan, you don’t have to follow extreme diets like Keto … only moderation and a balanced and Mediterranean diet.
4. Exercises


You may be surprised to hear it, but I didn’t become a fanatic of sports rooms to lose weight.
In fact, in the first months I did not change my training habits (which meant zero exercises, hehehe) and continued to be sedentary: eliminating the really unhealthy foods that I consumed was enough to lose weight quickly.
Slowly, however, when I started filling my body of fresh energy, I started to feel the need for a small exercise. It was also necessary when I was no longer losing weight as it should.
I went to the gym for a while, but I discovered that the simple walk for 30 minutes a day is equally effective: I like air and I try to relax! Combine this with some fast aerobic exercises at home and should be fine.
However, if you know you can’t respect this program, get a subscription in the room and go to the room for 30-60 minutes at least three times a week. This is the minimum necessary and will help a lot.
Personally, I do nothing but cardio in the gym: I run for 45 minutes, four days a week and this makes me feel very well.
Of course, it’s not always easy and I have days when I don’t want to go, but I never let laziness take control.
All these are made to be healthy and be able to enjoy my life and my family … it is worth 45 minutes of boring treadmill!
And that’s all! This is how I managed to lose all that weight and then to maintain a healthy weight without ever hungry and fully enjoy my new lifestyle.
It may seem quite difficult and it could be a little more difficult in the first weeks, but once you start and get used to your new way of life, you will see that there is no reason to return.
